Safety is paramount

To safeguard hygiene, a general directive was enforced for the application of a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) system. In the Netherlands this directive is laid down in the New Commodities Act for Food Hygiene. Champ Dogfood is produced in accordance with HACCP standards. The HACCP system dictates that it be established, on the basis of risk assessment and analysis, what could happen to the product during both production and consumption. The possible risks and the preventive measures taken to prevent such risks are specified for each processing stage. The HACCP system is monitored by an authorized independent company.

Champ Dogfood is monitored stringently on a daily basis by the Voedsel en Waren Autoriteit (Inspection service for livestock and meat). For a company such as Champ Europe, this is an extremely important service that inspects every batch of Champ and provides the correct documents for export outside Europe.

Furthermore, Champ Dogfood complies with the NRC (National Research Council, Washington DC) standards and the Aafco (Association of American Feed Control Officials) standards. CHAMP DOGFOOD therefore meets the most stringent American standards. This is why we supply to so many governmental agencies, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Finally, the biscuits are produced compliant to ISO 9002.
